Long-term consultancy position.

The Monitoring Advisor will manage the day-to-day performance of the DCPs/RPs and ensure high quality data is collected, cleaned and verified. They will be responsible for Nairobi-level (Level 3) data quality control by reviewing DCP data and providing regular formalized training and feedback on data quality. The role will provide coaching, mentoring and refresher training to field monitors and observe progress during site visits.

Conduct site-visits and other spot checks in Somalia as required.  Liaise with the national, state and local level Somalia government officials to ensure smooth operation and attend meetings when possible.  Ensure technical aspects of data-sharing are implemented according to project guidelines and USAID direction.

Support the DKM in producing high quality data and knowledge management deliverables for the Senior Monitoring Advisor.  Facilitate the practical application of knowledge resulting from monitoring, research and other activities.  Conduct continuous evaluations of monitoring activities and suggest improvements to systems and processes where necessary.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the Senior Monitoring Advisor.
