Integrity Supports USAID/South Sudan Protection Systems Strengthening Initiative
Integrity supported a recent initiative with USAID South Sudan’s Office of Humanitarian Assistance (OHA) to strengthen collaboration, availability, and quality of services among protection providers in South Sudan. These providers play an important role in addressing issues like gender-based violence, child-protection, prevention of sexual abuse and exploitation, and abuse of marginalized groups. Safeguarding South Sudan’s vulnerable populations is a critical and complex challenge, with obstacles like persistent sub-national conflict, flooding and population displacement, and large-scale food insecurity.
Integrity organized and facilitated an intensive two and a half day co-creation workshop for OHA, USAID personnel, and key protection stakeholders to draft an initial plan and structure for the initiative. Integrity’s work through the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Support Activity supports coordination among providers advancing South Sudan’s national protection systems strengthening agenda.
