Evaluation of CVE Programming, Kenya

Date/Duration

2013 – 2014

Name of Client

Project Objectives

Assess the extent to which CVE programming was achieving its goals in Kenya, and draw out lessons for the wider CVE community.

Project Outputs

Through a qualitative approach involving literature review, interviews with key stakeholders, and focus group discussions with beneficiaries, Integrity was able to make valuable recommendations for improvement of this CVE programme. We were also able to draw wider lessons for future CVE programming, particularly around conducting research on sensitive themes such as the drivers of violence and vulnerable subsets of the population. Our research methods included an in-depth review of the KTI documentation, key informant interviews with KTI staff, grantees and other stakeholders, focus group discussions with grant beneficiaries, and grantee observations.
