Monitoring and Evaluation Support in South Sudan
Integrity is excited to announce that USAID has selected our team to lead the five-year USAID/South Sudan Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Support (MELS) activity.
South Sudan faces some of the most complex and onerous development challenges in the world due to decades of conflict and climate-driven shocks. USAID/South Sudan has worked hand in hand with the South Sudanese people since independence, trying to help them to advance their country’s development and build resilience at the community level.
The Mission’s scenario-based strategy will use a community-focused approach to help targeted areas move beyond a critical need for humanitarian aid and towards longer term self-reliance. Working with our partner Management Systems International (MSI), Integrity is supporting the use of learning and evidence to improve the impact of the Mission’s work.
Through the MELS Activity we are providing a range of services that include monitoring, evaluation, and learning technical assistance for the Mission and all implementing partners; strengthening knowledge management and organizational learning, and improving data-driven decision-making through an efficient use of digital mapping including Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and innovative spatial analysis.
Speaking at the start of the project, Integrity’s US Head of Programs Kelly Skeith said, “Integrity is thrilled about this award and grateful for the opportunity to support USAID/South Sudan. We are committed to ensure that the Mission gets timely, contextually grounded support. Our approach combines the latest in systems thinking to ensure the complexity awareness necessary for volatile contexts and support evidence based decision-making.”
