Integrity’s Alex Martins nominated for Young Consultant of the Year

Integrity Services Manager Alex Martins nominated for British Expertise Young Consultant of the Year award

Integrity is proud to announce that Service Manager Alex Martins has been nominated for the British Expertise Young Consultant of the Year award. The accolade is presented by British Expertise to an exceptional individual that meets the criteria of: being under the age of 35, has demonstrated significant potential and achievement internationally and within their sector, and has proven to have ‘gone the extra mile’.

Alex was put forward because of her professional achievements, leadership qualities and dedication to her work driven by her values. A genuinely international individual, her background includes work in the private sector, with NGOs and in academic research. She explores all angles of how to bring positive change in international development both locally and globally by combining micro-level programme management with inputs to the macro-level global aid discourse.

At Integrity, Alex has significantly contributed to the growth of our DRC portfolio, which is now a strong focus country for us. In DRC, she has worked on DFID’s Evidence, Analysis and Coordination Programme, the education-sector Political Economy Analysis for ACCELERE, a USAID/DFID education programme and the Monitoring and Evaluation support to the International Security and Stabilisation Support Strategy – ISSSS for DFID). Some of Alex’s other notable achievements include working for South Sudanese voices to play a real part in peace reconciliation negotiations in South Sudan and co-publishing a book chapter on her research findings on the prevention of atrocity crimes in Burundi for the University of Oxford.

Integrity is thrilled to see Alex’s efforts recognised in her nomination, and we look forward to the Awards outcomes on 5 April 2017.

Integrity won the British Expertise ‘Outstanding International business – SME’ award for 2016. You can find out more about this here.
